REVOLUTION/ACTION!

It all started in the blink of an eye, when the exterior changed. The forms known fell like rickety towers, the bridges built and the ways lived were no more. So, as stated by the principle "as it is inside it is outside” the interior was transformed, became a refuge and from there questioning was imperative, the reflection became present: it was when we also mutated.

From silence other impulses were born, new needs originated: the doing became more important than saying, more valuable than belonging, talent He stopped looking for himself in others to reveal himself existing in the nucleus of the chosen family, in the brothers, where he was always alive. The race ceased to be competitive for get creative. The revolution ceased to be a verb to become action and took form in art, in music, in design.

Our genesis materializes from thought in sound and visual creation, in spiritual, social, cultural and artistic fabric. We revisit the legacy of our South American ancestors, we are nourished by their cultural tradition and we bring happiness reflection on current techniques to create sounds within modern forms such as the break beat, electro and techno. Graphically, we experiment with the transmutation of pre-Columbian art in conceptual proposals, the result of the manipulation of Existing images in the anthropological heritage of the Andes mountain range.

We are from within: from the roots to the world. We are borders that open up show what makes us unique, to build and act from the mix that conforms: Colombia, Venezuela, Portugal. We do not forget where we come from; our past and our way, who are well seated, are the stones on which we build this sound, artistic, cultural experience that we want to give to know.

Kontra is an integral project, it is a way of being; it's a gathering of sonic people, music lover and revolutionary around creating, making artistic. Kontra ponders about the past, stopping in this new present in which all the possibilities, in which everything is to be done. We are interested in showing the talent that beats I live on the ground that once formed the communicative journey of the great Latin American peoples, the same one that lives in us, in our art, in this sound experience with no other claim, no more interest, than the revolution from the real action.
